We are all brother and sisters. To gain any trust, we have to respect each other as human beings. Person-to-person contact is key. The idea is to get people talking—we want to hear their thoughts.

When talking to right-wingers, it’s important to avoid arguments. And it’s better to speak from your heart, rather than using prepared scripts. No debating, just simple conversations. Debates just turn into fights.

Here are some questions to help this process, especially if you encounter irrational right-wingers. This is not intended as a script, but rather as a way to start a conversation. Add your own thoughts and questions.  Share your own information with the person you are talking to, if you feel comfortable with that.

1)    Are you registered to vote? We can help with that if you’d like.

2)    Are you concerned about the divisions within our society and the loss of community we see happening around us? Do you have any ideas about how we can heal this?

3)    What about electricity, water, and roads? We all use these. Cold beer and TV are available to us because of existing dams and windfarms. Do you support funding for infrastructure maintenance?

4)     Are you happy with your current healthcare plan? How about your prescription drug plan?

5)    Are the changing weather patterns affecting you? Do you think this has a connection to climate change? If so, what do you think we can do about it?

6)    Where do you get your information? Have you tried any other sources?

Improvisational, don’t say no, japanese, what do you want to talk about? What do you want to do to fix the problem? Respect brothers and sisters. Markley’s office. Logic system? Belief
